Cobourg Ecology Garden, through MonarchWatch.org, is Monarch Waystation #4902, thanks to volunteer Viola Hubley raising lots of money on her 95th Birthday last year to help the Children's Butterfly Garden grow!!   Got to love milkweed, the Monarch Butterfly caterpillars' sole food source .. without it there would be no Monarch Butterflies!

Volunteers Viola, 96 and Marie 88, with Poet Jack Allin, who gave out copies of his poem, "The Monarch Butterfly."   Laurel Merriam of Monarch Teacher Network (www.monarchteacher.ca/) teaches everyone to help the Monarch Butterfly survive by growing milkweed and nectar sources like Butterfly Bush. (Donated by Canadian Tire Garden Centre to the Ecology Garden).
